About Me

Coach Igor Barbosa is a Brazilian soccer coach and former soccer player. He started playing soccer at an early age in his home country Brazil. He played throughout his youth career at the academy level of Brazil and at the age of 18 he had the chance to move to Europe and play at the European soccer. Two seasons in Sweden and two seasons in Norway. At the age of 22, he had an opportunity to come to the United States and play college soccer. During his freshman and sophomore years, he played for Barton Community College, in Great Bend, Kansas. In his junior and senior years, he played for The University of Texas at Brownsville/Rio Grande Valley, and in 2015 he graduated in Kinesiology at the University of Texas at the Rio Grande Valley. Since then, Coach Igor Barbosa has dedicated his life to working with youth soccer and developing soccer players. Combining his soccer experience and his academic knowledge, He has developed a system of training highly effective and applicable to all levels. As an ambassador of Brazilian soccer, Coach Igor Barbosa believes every kid has the right to learn and enjoy the most beautiful game, soccer.
